Surrounded by the spectacular peaks of the Hakuba mountain range, the Hotel Hakuba is a great well rounded family hotel, which caters very well to families, groups and those not wanting to blow the budget. Situated between the Happo Village and the town of Hakuba, the Hotel Hakuba is a great location to easily explore both. By no means a ski-in-and-out location, but this property is well serviced by all of the major resorts complimentary ski shuttles and is only five minutes to Happo and 10 minutes to Hakuba 47, so it's easily accessible to these as well as many of the other resorts of the likes of Iwatake, Tsugaike, Norikura and of course Cortina, too. The hotel has been set up with a large lounge lobby with plenty of big comfortable sofas where you can relax and enjoy the warmth of this hotel and gaze out into the beautiful winter surroundings outside. With two restaurants and a huge buffet selection, the food is well supplied with a good range and choice each morning and night for breakfast and dinner choices. Other than the hotel's restaurants, there are several other restaurants and cafés within and easy walk from the hotel as well as the Mimizuku no Yu, which is a fantastic and very popular public hot spring bath right next door to the hotel. Very good value for money, this property has comfortable rooms with balconies offering great visual sightseeing of the grandeur of the Japan Alps. The rooms come in twin, triple and family room options. Rooms also have kitchenette which includes sinks and basic cooking utensils, so you can prepare simple meals. A good size property with plenty of room and space, complimentary car parking, rental shop on the premises as well as ski lockers and drying rooms are all available. This hotel is great for families, groups and those who don't want to spend too much yet still have excellent quality and a convenient location.
The smaller, but cosy and well-kept, western style rooms offer sleeping for up to three people, two on western style twin single bedding, and an extra on a futon mattress if needed. The room also features a lounge area and plenty of natural light, as well as gorgeous views, making the space feel open and inviting. Guests are provided with tea and coffee making facilities as well as with a television and Wi-Fi access for entertainment, and the room is attached to a large ensuite bathroom filled with complimentary amenities for guest use. Of course, there's also in-room heating and cooling and a small amount of storage space provided, too, meaning you'll feel comfortable year-round!

The room features a large tatami-floored area, giving the room a gorgeous fragrance, as well as a traditional dining space that can be folded away at night to free more room for sleeping. The room can sleep up to six people, all on traditional futon mattresses, and also features enough space for six people to comfortably live during the day, too, with a lounge area, storage space, tea and coffee making facilities, a television and Wi-Fi access all provided. There's also an attached ensuite bathroom and a range of complimentary amenities provided, as well as heating and cooling throughout the room.
