Lech has long been considered the most glamorous and exclusive ski resort in Austria. Stores in the main street blur the line between boutique and ski shop, while on the slopes skiers are treated to some of the best-prepared cruisers in the world. Part of the massive Arlberg Ski Area, Lech now seamlessly interlinks with Zürs, St Anton, St Christoph, Warth, Stuben and Ströcken. Grab a trail map and try to complete the Run of Fame in a day!
While the apres bars aren't as rowdy as those in neighbouring St Anton, Lech will still spoil you with great food, atmosphere and views at the on-mountain restaurants, plus giant beers and sing-alongs in the village bars.
The town of Lech is charming and sophisticated, Princess Diana used to holiday in Lech which helps set the tone for what to expect. There is a good selection of bars, restaurants and boutiques for those taking a day off the slopes. Accommodation varies from moderate B&B style hotels to more deluxe slope side hotels.
How to get there
The closest airports to Lech are Innsbruck (1.5 hour drive) and Zurich (2.5 hour drive). Zurich is the easiest gateway airport to fly to from Australia with just one stopover. Ask one of our team for recommended flight routes.

“Lech boasts some of the finer accommodation in the Austrian Alberg and is perfect for those typical on-mountain European lunches with breathtaking views.”
