How to get there
Fly
The closest airport is Kelowna. When flying from Australia one stopover is required, the fastest route is to Vancouver (YVR) and then onto Kelowna (YLW). Flight time is approximately 14 hours to Vancouver and 55 minutes from Vancouver to Kelowna. Vancouver makes a great stopover, we love spending a couple of days exploring the city before heading to the slopes.

Day 1
If you are new to SilverStar start your holiday with a complimentary tour of the mountain with our friendly and informative ski and snowboard Mountain Hosts. who offer their knowledge of the best runs, hidden treasures and easy access routes back to your ski-in / ski-out accommodation. Tours leave daily at 12:00pm in the main street of the village outside the SilverStar SnowSports School.
Look for our friendly Mountain Hosts in the centre of the village and on the trails. Ski and Snowboard Mountain Hosts wear yellow jackets. Cross country and Fat Bike Mountain Hosts wear blue jackets.
Day 2
There are 4 faces of SilverStar, and three of those faces are located on what is more commonly referred to as the Front Side of the mountain.
Vance Creek – Here you will find progressive terrain that all skiers and boarders can enjoy, from green cruisers - like “Far Out” to more undulating blue groomed runs that will become your “go to” favourites by the end of the week – you will love all “the Dippers” “and “Whiskey Jack.”
Silver Woods - A treasure trove of nice open and undulating blue groomers, and enticing gladed tree skiing runs, with a couple of challenging blacks. On powder days the tree runs become the perfect playground for all ability levels.
Attridge - The Alpine Meadows Chair is sometimes a forgotten area, as many people gravitate towards the Comet Express and the Powder Gulch Express (on the backside). The Attridge area has a great mix for beginners, intermediates, and also some fun black runs.
Day 3
Take a Lesson with one of the Pro’s at the SilverStar SnowSports School. The quickest way to improve your skills is to learn from the best. The SnowSports School offer a great range of lesson options and packages to suit every level of skier and snowboarder.
For those looking to explore other attractions on the mountain why not try some of the non-ski activities like on-mountain yoga classes, ten pin bowling or horse drawn sleigh rides.
