For Vanessa, a great snow holiday destination is not just about the skiing. According to her, it isn't just the fact Sun Peaks is Canada's second largest ski resort that makes it her favourite. It's the family friendly town with a charming ski-in/ski-out village, and the wonderful non-ski activities that make it top pick for herself and the family.

- What do you love about Sun Peaks the most?
Sun Peaks has a great village atmosphere and sense of community! Something you don't always feel in a tourist town on the other side of the world
- Best place for coffee?
Cherry Hill Organic Coffee at the Vertical Cafe. Owned by a local family, and loads of treats baked fresh daily (don't worry you will have burnt more than enough calories during the day skiing to warrant a few)
- Best place for apres?
Masa's Bar & Grill. Right at the bottom on the slope, a cozy and relaxed place to unwind by the fireplace during the week, and a place to party with DJ nights on the weekend.
- Best village dining and favourite dish?
Ribs at the Cahilty Creek Kitchen and Taproom. Centrally located, beer, wine and cider from the local Oakanagan region and delicious food. The best dish has got to be the ribs!
- Special occasion dinner spot?
Steakhouse at Sun Peaks Lodge. Simply quality cuts of beef, friendly service, and a great atmosphere make for a really enjoyable experience
- What should visitors not leave your resort without doing?
A night snowshoe tour - an easy guided snowshoe through the woods to a bonfire set up. See the stars out in the wilderness as you have traditional S'mores and hot apple cider, and then the twinkling lights of Sun Peaks village on the walk back. A really magical night.

Anything from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
- Any other tips to making the most of your stay in this resort?
The skiing is amazing but also try to do as many of the wonderful activities on offer in the resort - dog sledding, tubing, snowmobiling, ice skating and sleigh rides!
