Alex: Winter Park has a huge amount of runs, for both beginner and advanced which is great! Plus a really cute village vibe

  • Best place for coffee?

Sarah W; I don’t drink coffee but I love a good hot chocolate! Gondola Joe’s is definitely one of the best!

Alex: Goodys Mountain Creperie (also great breakfast crepes!)

  • Best place for apres?

Sarah W: Timber and Torch. They have a great vibe, outdoor fireplaces, delicious food and the best mountain views.

Alex: Rippy’s Mountain Tavern in has great cocktails. But be careful, cocktails in the high altitude can knock you down quicker than usual

  • Best village dining and favourite dish?

Sarah W: So many to choose from but if I have to pick just one, the steak at Ore House is amazing

Alex: Rippy's has awesome Nachos. The best thing to fill you up after a long day.

  • Special occasion dinner spot?

Sarah W: Aurum in downtown Steamboat is right next to the river and has a fantastic menu and a really casual bar as well as the restaurant.

Alex: Volario’s Family Italian. Delicious authentic Italian food and amazing service

  • What should visitors not leave your resort without doing?

Sarah W: A visit to the Strawberry Park hot springs, the best way to unwind.

Alex: Definitely try Tubing - so much fun!

  • What item should visitors take back with them?

Sarah W: A pair of cowboy boots from F.M. Light and Sons

Alex: Get your hands on some winter gear at Winter Park. You will always find a winder variety at cheaper prices overseas compared to Aus, and the local shops had some some really nice stuff!

  • Any other tips to making the most of your stay in this resort?

Sarah W: Go out for night skiing at least once. A lot of other places only offer one run for night skiing, at Steamboat there are 5 different runs including one advanced run!

Alex: Twilight headlamp skiing & riding tour. You get taken up the mountain in small groups around sunset. It's incredible being the only few people on the mountain, and the views of the sunset and twinkling lights of the town below is magical
