Experience a world class ski resort in South Korea. Yongpyong Resort is the most well-known place for skiers and snowboarders, located on the Eastern Coast of South Korea in the Gangwon province, 200km (2.5hours) east of Seoul.
Known as "Korea's Ski Mecca"; with a growing reputation as an internationally-renowned resort this natural surrounding place provides the perfect atmosphere for skiing & snowboarding with fresh powder snow and well organised facilities. The mountain has more then 25kms of groomed slopes, 15 chairs lifts, a 3.7km gondola and a terrain park offering all levels of skiers the best conditions for showing off their technique.
Yongpyong Resort is home to many international events including the winter Asian games in 1999, Interski Congress 2007 and is a selected candidate for the 2018 winter Olympics. The mountain also offers night skiing, with lifts open daily from 8:30am to midnight offering non-stop satisfaction.
Adding to the usual anticipation and excitement that make up the joy of going on a ski trip, Yongpyong offers the mystic wonder of falling asleep with joy. Accommodation options range from premium hotels right through to traditional Korean-style accommodation (Ondol rooms).
Other activities include ‘Peak Island’, water theme park with hot spring, sledding, various choices food court with local Korean food, bowl alley, karaoke and so on.
