Those too young to hit the slopes can spend time at Wee Wascal’s childcare for 18 months to 5 year old kids. They can stay for a half day or a full day and their time can be combined with some of the ski school offerings. Make sure you book ahead so your little ones can join in the fun with other kids their age and make new friends that may last for life with return winter ski holidays.

The majority of the massive 2847 acres of terrain is dedicated to beginner and intermediate skiers with a perfect fall line to ensure skiing and snowboarding the groomers comes with ease. Try the Discovery Zone for first timer ski and snowboard turns and fun animation for kids or grab the family and hit the slopes under the lights with night skiing on Friday and Saturdays throughout the winter season.

Speaking of heli skiing, should you be so inclined the folk at RK Heli Ski are based right in the Panorama Village and offer heli ski days and private charters. They’ll even take your teenager (aged 14 and above).

Wherever you ski within Panorama’s terrain, when the ski day is over it is time for a hot tub and the whole family can soak in the resort’s slopeside hot spring pools. Take in the beautiful surroundings and let the jets massage away your worries in the large hot pool, and two steaming hot tubs. Oh, and let’s not forget about the sauna.

Channel your inner Torvill and Dean and hit the ice rink for some graceful turns,  throw yourself onto a snow mobile and take to the powder snow trails with a guide or jump on a fat tyre bike for a unique winter experience. Kids will also go crazy for the horses in the snow on the back of the horse drawn wagon rides.

If you really want to surprise your kids then take a helicopter ride to the Summit Hut. You’ll fly high over Panorama Village to the mountain above and land in time for hot cheese and chocolate fondue with vistas to sink into. Relax, kick back for an hour then take an exhilarating chopper ride back.
